St. Patrick’s Day and Green Cars

On St. Patrick’s Day one can’t get through the day without thinking about the color green. Some people wear green clothes to be a part of the festivities. Others simply like to be with friends and family to enjoy some dyed green beer with their corned beef. That is very cool and I have been known to partake in the festivities myself from time to time. St. Patricks Day is without question a great day that many people, Irish or not enjoy. For me personally though I have never been a huge fan of the color green. Not that it is a bad color. As a matter of fact it is a very good color. But in the automotive industry Green is not the color of choice. It consistently ranks near the bottom in popularity among all the colors. But even though it may not be popular I can tell you that several vehicles have succeeded with green. First and foremost would be Jaguar. To this day “British Racing Green” is a great color on  Jaguar. Back in 1988 I was also in the car business with my father. I had access to some very fine cars back then. They were all detailed to the max because we had our own detail shop to boot!  When my first child was born I was so proud of her and my wife that I picked them up from the hospital in a squeaky clean, very low mileage British Racing Green Jaguar XJ6. I must say that we felt like a million dollars riding home in that car. I will never forget that great day. Who cares that green is not popular anyway? In my opinion if you like green and the car you prefer is offered in green then go for it. Here are a few great looking green cars that I hope you enjoy.
